Conference overview

A CME structured for diagnostic depth, professional exchange, and practical relevance

The conference is built for pathology residents and practicing pathologists who want an updated, clinically connected view of bone and soft tissue lesions. The programme emphasises how pathology sits at the center of integrated tumour evaluation, connecting morphology, immunohistochemistry, molecular diagnostics, and multidisciplinary decision-making.

About the conference

Recent advances in the WHO classification of tumours of soft tissue and bone, evolving biomarkers, and contemporary molecular tools have made diagnostic interpretation both more powerful and more demanding. This CME is designed to consolidate those developments into an accessible and academically rigorous day.

Beyond lectures, the structure encourages discussion through slide seminars, poster presentation, and focused interaction with invited faculty. The result is a compact programme that is relevant for training, reporting accuracy, and patient management.

Clinical relevance anchored in pathology

The faculty line-up translates current approaches in bone and soft tissue pathology into practical diagnostic strategy.

Balanced scientific format

The day combines keynote lectures, slide seminars, poster presentation, and peer interaction in one concise programme.

About the organizing institution

Dr Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Medical College, Ahilyanagar, was founded to expand access to quality medical education and healthcare services. The institution combines a strong academic base with tertiary care service delivery and established diagnostic infrastructure.

The Department of Pathology supports both undergraduate and postgraduate training, while also running advanced laboratory services in histopathology, immunohistochemistry, and cytopathology.

200-seat MBBS intake with a large academic training base.
800+ bed multi-specialty teaching hospital with modern diagnostic support.
Accreditations include NAAC A+, NABL, NABH, and ISO standards.
The Department of Pathology offers four postgraduate seats each year.

Conference highlights

A concise academic format with high-value content throughout the day

The meeting design balances scientific depth with clarity. Every block serves a distinct purpose: concept updates, diagnostic problem-solving, multidisciplinary context, and participation by delegates.
